PRAYER VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Pray for Others Throughout Worship
A very meaningful way to minister to our church family, visitors,
and those on the prayer list is to volunteer to pray one Sunday morning per
year in our sacristy (the room behind the chancel area in our sanctuary). As a
prayer volunteer, you can listen to worship - and even watch worship on a
screen - in that room. You are asked to pray for our church family as progress
through our order of worship. In the past, this has proven to be a ministry that
brought blessing to those who volunteered - as well as to those worshiping in
If you have any questions, please contact me: email@example.com or

Sunday Morning Prayer Coordinator, Phil Agee: firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank
you for thinking about sharing in this ministry.
In our on-going effort to support world-wide missions, the Outreach Committee is asking for support for Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child. This is commonly called the shoebox ministry and its mission is to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Shoeboxes are available in the Narthex. Attached to each box are blank labels for the box, instructions on what to include, items that are not permitted and how to handle shipping costs. This would be a great family Christmas Project. Our goal is to fill all 100 boxes. The filled boxes need to be returned to the Narthex by Sunday, November 17th. For more information you can go to http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/OCC/FAQ. Thank You, The Outreach Committee

Kim Pennington, certified in food safety, will be offering a Food/Cooking/Kitchen Safety orientation in Carpenter Hall from 7:00-8:00ish on Sunday, November 10 and Sunday, December 1. All who prepare food for others in our congrega-tion are asked to attend one of these orientation sessions. Cooks include: Family Life Team, Primetimer Meal Team, Be-reavement Team, Sunday School Breakfast cooks, Youth Meal Parents, Feeding the Children Cooks and our new Occasional Kingdom-Cooking Team. Anyone interested in food safety is invited. Please mark your calendars and make a point to edu-cate yourself. Ministry Matters. And as United Methodists that includes food … mmm!!
