SOUPer Bowl of Caring
NFL's beloved Super Bowl event will be Sunday, February 1. Our confirmation youth will "kick-off" the day wtih their own SOUP-er Bowl of Caring to fight hunger. This missional effort is held in partnership with UMCOR, UNited Methodist Church Committee on Relief. We'll join other youth across the country to fight hunger and poverty by collecting money in soup pots that Sunday. Funds received will go to SOCKS here in Belmont. Last year this effort raised $8.4 million nationally with 7,615 groups participating. Our congregational contribution was $282.60. Please give generously again this year with the confidence that God will bless our gifts.

Volunteer Administrative Assistance
The volunteer administrative assistance program has been in place since April 2014 and has been well received at our church. This program is run during the business week from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday through Thursday. The volunteers work on a roational basis and are stationed at the desk located at the entrance to the Administrative Building. Volunteers greet folks, answer phone calls, and occasionally provide assistance to Janice and other staff with smal jobs. We could use some additional volunteers at this time. If you are interested in helping please call Bill McLean at 704-825-3969.
