These words from our Vision Statement express a yearning for God's kingdom to be realized in our community here and now. In the liturgy of baptism, we profess our faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior,"in union with the church which Christ has opened to people of all ages, nations, and races. "We are always learning what it means to be open, to be hospitable, to remove barriers to faith in Jesus Christ, even as we seek to be obedient to his call in our lives. The United Methodist Church has a slogan:
