33 participants from 5 Belmont Area churches Ebenezer, Park Street, St Marks, South Point and First United Methodist Church joined forces to form a Mission Team for Camp Hope in Van Cleave, Mississippi May 23-29, 2010. The team worked on 3 houses in the Pascagoula, MS area and one house in Lucedale, MS. In record high temperatures the 1st house was built from the foundation to having windows, doors and roofing felt. The 2nd house had Hardy Board installed and painted including all outside trim. House #3 was completely mudded and sanded in the interior. While house #4 had the interior completed which included all electrical switches, plugs and fixtures. Also the laminate hard wood flooring was installed in all areas except the Kitchen, Laundry and Bathroom where linoleum flooring was installed. The team had a great time and is looking forward to returning next year.
